Its the middle of the summer, its hot and sunny. Beaches are an easy fix to hot weather, but these tips make going to the beach smooth

1. Go Early

Get to the beach early! Six, Seven or Eight in morning. By Nine AM all the parking will be full, and you'll be cramming for a metered spot that might not be open. Also, you'll be able to get a nice spot on the sand if your trying to tan, or stay away from trashcans and sand access paths.

2. Parking

Go early!! The lot across from 15th street is nice, and is park and pay ticket on dashboard deal. But, the lot does fill up, leaving beach goers to have to find a meter spot or try to park in a residential area that is usually crammed

3. Don't park, carpool, or Uber/Lyft

Better that not finding a parking spot at the beach?? Take a rideshairng option. Get dropped of right where you can just walk on the sand with your toes and not stress about parking.

4. Bring food, but also something to cover it.

Yes, we all get hungry and that includes seagulls! So bring snacks so you don't have to leave your spot, but also cover them with a shirt, a towel or Tupperware.

5. Be ready to share space

Del Mar all along the 101 is tight and crammed, you'll be sharing your beach spot for sure, so be ready for that.
