Saint Madeleine Sophie's Center presents: a collection of self-portraits burned into wood panels colored with watercolors and airbrushes.
In January, Sophie's artists created self-portraits by looking in the mirror and drawing their likeness in pencil onto a wood panel. Staff members burned the pencil lines with a wood-burning tool. Then each artist used watercolors and airbrushes to complete the details of their piece. Pieces will be on display at the Point Loma Credit Union on May 31, 2014.
