Final Weekend to Enjoy ~ the 10th Annual Lavender Festival at the Highland Springs Resort ~ in Cherry Valley

This is the Final Weekend of the 10th Annual Lavender Festival ~ Rows and Rows, Fields of Lavender at the Highland Springs Resort in Cherry Valley.  Come enjoy the Serenity that comes with the beauty of the lavender ~ and the serenity of the San Gorgonio pass here at the Lavender Festival.

Last week I went out to Highland Springs Resort and took these pictures, it is beautiful, serene ~ worth the drive, if this is your first visit - if you have been here before you are returning because you have a fond remembrance. The off ramp is: Highland Springs, North - all the way - way to the end, past San Gorgonio Hospital, past our beautiful pastures, round the bend, and there you are. This is the last weekend for the Lavender Festival ~ June 21st Saturday, and June 22nd Sunday; admission $5.

Lavender Festival, my thought ~ besides the scent of lavender ~ what is a lavender festival. After speaking with those that have been to the festival, gifts, gifts incorporated from the beautiful lavender blooms. The lavender I understand has been incorporated, yes into gifts, but also into foods, at times into wines ~ so I am interested to see exactly what I will find.  This weekend I did go out, and I enjoyed the beauty of the San Gorgonio pass, the beauty of the lavender, and the festivities of our festival, and the many ways lavender had been incorporated right here in my own backyard.  I found, as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz found out ~ that the beauty, the serenity of our own Lavender Festival ~ could be found right here, believe it or not, right here in my own backyard.  In closing ~ I remind you of the Lavender Festival, come enjoy the serenity I found in the shadow of the hills of the San Gorgonio pass ~ I can almost guarantee you will find a piece of heaven, a piece of heaven I find almost on a daily basis here in the shadows of the San Gorgonio pass.
