Local San Diego Mesa College Student Sets PCAC swimming records
Crabtree Sets Three swimming records at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference

Local San Diego Mesa College swimmer Brandon Crabtree sets two Pacific Coast Athletic Conference records.
Palomar College hosted the 2018 PCAC championships April 19-21. Crabtree competed in three individual events. Thursday he swam the 50 free tying his previously set record of 20.65. Friday he set a new PCAC record in the 100 fly with a time of 48.42. Breaking former teammate Neil Franka of San Diego Mesa’s record by over a second. The meet concluded on Saturday with yet another record. Crabtree went a 44.94 in the 100 free (breaking his own record which he set in 2016). Mesa Men’s & Women’s teams both took first place overall at the meet. Crabtree received the swimmer of the year award.
Crabtree , along with his coach Nathan Resch and fellow teammate will be heading to Cupertino Ca. in May to compete in the State Championships at De Anza College. Crabtree will be competing in the same three events and hopes to secure his spot as returning state champion.
