Melero Boutique Brings European Fashion to Del Mar

Ruth Melero, owner of Melero Boutique & Gallery, recently opened her second store in San Diego inside Del Mar's Flower Hill Promenade.

Melero Boutique & Gallery celebrated its grand opening earlier this month inside the newly renovated Flower Hill Promenade. The first boutique opened three years ago in Little Italy on 1918 India Street.

Owner Ruth Melero said 90 percent of the merchandise in the store is imported from countries in Europe, including France, Italy and Greece. Melero said her passion for fashion grew while she was living in Paris and inspired her to get into the business.

"European culture starts sticking to you after a while and I wanted to bring the upscale fashion back to laid-back California," Melero said.
