Modish Maternity Blossoms in Flower Hill Promenade

Modish Maternity, now located on the lower level of the Flower Hill Promenade, is one of the newest additions to the recently renovated shopping center.

The store carries clothing designed for every stage of pregnancy, including postpartum apparel, and boasts brands such as Michael Stars and Paige. The store also locally manufacturers and sells its own exclusive brand—Modish.

Owner Tammy Layson said she started the chain because she felt her clothing options were too limited during her own pregnancy and wanted other moms to feel good about their changing bodies. 

The original store, located on Torrey Pines Rd., opened four years ago in La Jolla. Layson said she chose the new location in Del Mar to make the store more accessible to North County clientele.
