Pillbox Hat-Making Workshop

For the first time ever, Jill Courtemanche Millinery is offering a Pillbox-Making Workshop, where you will make your own silk pillbox from start to finish! Students will learn the technique of blocking, wiring and finishing a buckram frame as well as how to cover the frame in silk, and finish it to their size. Jill Courtemanche herself will walk you through the process and demonstrate a variety of trimming techniques to help you finish your hat. All materials to block and trim your hat are included in the price of the class, which is $248. This class, which takes place Saturday, Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is designed for more advanced sewers, and students who have taken Jill’s intro class.
