Planting Volunteers Needed At Upcoming Del Mar Events

The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy will be working at Brigantine Basin and Gonzales Canyon.

DEL MAR, CA – The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy is inviting volunteers to help with plants and trees at two upcoming weekend events in Del Mar.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, organizers will be planting hundreds of native plants in the Brigantine Basin from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Volunteers should meet at 3193 Camino Del Mar 92014. Free street-parking is available on South Cedros Avenue for up to two hours, or pay-parking is available on Camino Del Mar.

And on Sunday, Jan. 20, volunteers are sought from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to help plant native trees in Gonzales Canyon, located at 13510 Sword Way in Del Mar. Street parking is available on Sword Way. Gloves, tools and water will be provided.
