
Did you know that hunger usually is emotional? Yep, you can “feel” hunger, but often times it’s thirst, habit or you’re needing some comfort.
But if hunger is real, it usually can be blamed on a lack of protein.The big P – protein!
So here’s some protein-rich snacks to eat when you have real hunger pangs:

- Raw nuts (you only need to eat a SMALL handful – almonds and walnuts are fantastic)
- Hard-boiled eggs (I recommend eating 2 eggs, but only eat the yolk on one). Please try to get local, organic eggs.

- Oven-roasted chickpeas. Easy recipe here.
- Celery or a banana with a little bit of peanut butter (emphasis on little!)
I’m not a huge fan of dairy, but if you can tolerate it, try these things:
- Low-fat string cheese
- Greek yogurt
- 1% fat cottage cheese
- Laughing Cow Cheese on celery
