Roberto’s Will Reopen May 9 After Car Crashed into Restaurant
Roberto's Mexican Food on Carmel Valley Road in Del Mar has been closed since March 30, when a car drove into its kitchen.

Roberto’s Mexican Food restaurant in Del Mar has been closed since a car drove into its kitchen on Easter weekend. But the wait is over, the Mexican food eatery will reopen this week on May 9 with discounts!
From Thursday through Saturday, Roberto’s on Carmel Valley Road will give away t-shirts, hats and free food vouchers randomly to guests.
Owners Rolando and Cecilia Robledo said they were thankful no employees or customers were seriously hurt in the March 30 accident.

“We are really excited about the re-opening and we are going to celebrate,” said Cecilia Robledo in an announcement. “Closing has been hard on everyone, especially the employees. They are eager to get back to work.”
She added, “In addition to necessary repairs from the accident, we took care of some other repairs to improve the building overall.”
