Sammy Hagar, Weezer and B-52s Buzzing into Del Mar for Summer Concert Series
The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club announced a rocking lineup of summer concerts.
Get ready to rock! The lineup 2013 Summer Concert Series at the Del Mar Racetrack was announced Tuesday. Performers include favorites from past race seasons and new acts—notably Sammy Hagar and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
The 2013 Summer Concert Series:
- Friday, July 19 – The B-52s
- Friday, July 26 – Fitz and the Tantrums
- Saturday, July 27 – Sammy Hagar & The Wabos
- Sunday, July 28 – Los Tucanes de Tijuana
- Friday, Aug. 2 – Iration
- Sunday, Aug. 4 – Larry Hernandez
- Friday, Aug. 9 – Pinback
- Friday, Aug. 16 – Steel Pulse
- Saturday, Aug. 17 – Weezer
- Friday, Aug. 23 – Yeah Yeah Yeahs
- Friday, Aug. 30 – Special guest
- Saturday, Aug. 31 – Reggae Fest featuring Ziggy Marley
All concerts are free with racetrack admission from $3 to $6. Admission for concertgoers entering after the final race is $20. The performances start after the final race.
All concerts will take place on the Seaside Stage.
Other big events during the races are the Del Mar Grill Fest on August 17, two Beer Fests (July 27 and August 31) and the Gourmet Food Truck Festival on August 3
Racing at Del Mar takes place Wednesday through Sunday with post time for the first race on most days at 2 p.m. On Fridays first post is at 4 p.m.
