San Diego County Sheriff's Department: COASTER Train Vs. Pedestrian Collision

On 12/6/2021 at approximately 1511 hours, the Sheriff's Transit Enforcement Unit was dispatched to an incident regarding a train versus pedestrian strike that occurred on the tracks at the west end of 12th street, on the bluffs in the City of Del Mar, CA.  At approximately 1506 hours, North County Transit Coaster train was travelling southbound, when it struck a white male adult.  The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identification of the victim has not yet been made and is still unknown.  The Medical Examiner Office was called to the scene and took custody of the victim.
