Smoking Too Much Pot? La Jolla Business Wants to Help You Quit

Are you in a smoke cloud of pot right now? One La Jolla-based institute wants to help you come down from that high.

The Scripps Research Institute is looking for participants in a 12-week study to help chronic smokers quit the chronic. According to an ad, the program involves taking medication and pays up to $300.

Participants will undergo a physical/mental screening, cognitive testing and weekly counseling sessions over 12 weeks.

According to the ad, to qualify you must be:

  • Between 18 and 65 years old
  • Seeking treatment to help you quit smoking marijuana
  • In good health
  • Willing to take medication
  • Other eligibility criteria will apply
