STAY COOL for Grandkids March Meeting: Can Climate Action Plans help communities fight climate change?
STAY COOL for Grandkids
is a San Diego-based organization working to encourage grandparents and other
seniors to take action against global warming.
The mission of STAY COOL is to speak out for America’s grandchildren on
government and business policies that impact future climate change.
Our
March meeting will focus on the Climate Action Plan (CAP) that the City of
Chula Vista has adopted and is implementing. Our featured
speaker is Brendan Reed, the Environmental Resource Manager for the City of
Chula Vista. Attend this meeting to
learn about his successes, how other cities can implement similar strategies
and how you, as a citizen, can get involved.
This is event is
free. Beverages and heavy appetizers will be provided.
