Suspect Sought In Stabbing At San Diego County Fair
The stabbing allegedly occurred about 11 p.m. on July 4, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department and Crime Stoppers.

Del Mar, CA — Authorities are seeking witnesses of a stabbing on the Fourth of July at the San Diego County Fair that left a man wounded.
The stabbing allegedly happened just before 11 p.m. in front of the swing ride, near the west gate of the Del Mar Fairgrounds, according to a statement from San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department North Coastal Station.
The 22‐year‐old victim was walking with a friend toward the fair exit when the victim got into a fight with a teen he did not know. At some point, authorities say, the victim was stabbed in his upper body.

The victim survived his injuries, according to authorities, who are seeking the public's help to identify and locate the stabbing suspect.
The suspect is described as a Latino male between 16 and 17 years old who stands about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He was wearing a dark baseball cap with the letter “C,” a white T‐shirt, khaki shorts and white socks, and was seen in the company of five other Latino men, according to authorities.

Sheriff's deputies would like to speak with anyone who was at the county fair around 11 p.m. on the Fourth of July near the swing area regarding what they may have seen at the time of the stabbing. Photos or videos taken in the area around the time of the alleged attack are also sought.
Anyone who has information that may be helpful in the case was urged to call the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station at 760-966‐3500 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580‐8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent in via Sdcrimestoppers.org.
