Take the Ice Cream Eating Challenge at San Diego County Fair
Win a county fair ribbon by competing in Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour ice cream eating challenge.

In 1978 former President Bill Clinton competed in and won Farrell's Ice Cream ice cream eating challenge by completing a menu item titled the Pigs Trough. You can pig out at the San Diego County Fair this year and compete in the same challenge—to finish the dish with six scoops of ice cream, two bananas, nuts, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and cherries.
Farrell's is hosting two ice cream eating challenges during the San Diego County Fair. The challenges are June 18 and July 1 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Plaza De Mexico stage. Come out to cheer on your favorite ice cream pig!
The old school ice cream parlor will have three categories to compete in each day, including men, women and children.
The rules are simple; eat the sundae the fastest.
The winner in each category will move on to compete in Farrell's big Ice Cream Eating Challenge that takes place on July 21 in Brea.
While registration has closed for this ice cream eating challenge, you can challenge yourself by ordering the Pigs Trough for $15 and digging in.
Oink. Oink.
