7 Teens Deny Charges Stemming from Alleged Break-in, Party at Area Mansion

Seven teenagers denied criminal charges Wednesday in connection with a break-in at a La Habra Heights mansion, where a party was thrown last November that allegedly resulted in more than $1 million in damages and losses while the owner was out of town.

The six boys and one girl -- who were between 15 and 17 at the time -- are due back in Juvenile Court for another hearing June 3, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Six other boys and another girl are set to return to court May 1.

The charges stem from a party held at the 90,000-square-foot mansion between last Nov. 23 and Nov. 24. Authorities allege party-goers looted and trashed the home. Items stolen from the mansion included a mounted snow leopard, designer clothing and medieval armor, authorities said.

All of the teens face a misdemeanor trespassing charge. Nine teens also are charged with felony residential burglary, with four of those charged with grand theft. Other charges against some of the teens include charging for admission to a party in a residential area and petty theft.

Authorities said the party was advertised on social media and drew more than 100 teenagers.
