American Heart Association BLS (CPR/AED) for the Healthcare Provider

The American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the  ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  With the knowledge and skills you learn in this course, you can save a life.  You will learn the skills of CPR for victims of all ages and will practice CPR in a team setting.  You will also learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and how to relieve choking (foreign-body airway obstruction).  The skills you learn in this course will enable you to recognize emergencies such as sudden cardiac arrest as well as how to respond to them.
