DIAMOND BAR, CA — The City of Diamond Bar is partnering with the Student Conservation Association and community partners to plant 15 trees at Ronald Reagan Park as part of an effort to expand the city's urban forest, the city announced on Wednesday.
The volunteer event, "Rooted in Community: Growing Diamond Bar's Urban Forest," is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 22, at the park located at 2201 Peaceful Hills Road, according to the city.
Volunteers will help plant trees throughout the park to provide additional shade and support local wildlife, the city said.
No previous tree-planting experience is required.
Niagara Cares and the Arbor Day Foundation are also supporting the event.
