District Governor to Visit Pomona Host Lions

Lions District Governor PJ Smith and the district cabinet will visit the Pomona Host Lions general membership meeting on Thursday, October 4.  It will be held at the Pomona Valley Mining Co., 1777 Gillette Road, Pomona at 12:10 p.m.  The public is welcome

The District Governor will speak on the Lions International Reading Action Program, as well as district activities for the year.  The Governor will also induct new members into the club.  Several special presentations will be made.

Members should remember to bring canned goods and used eyeglasses to the meeting.  Donated food is given to the local Hope Partners pantry.  This past month, the Pomona Host Lions sent 375 used eyeglasses to be refurbished and distributed at Lions Vision Clinics, both locally and internationally.  A number of these glasses were donated by the community at the club’s collection table at the Pomona Band Concert series.
