Pomona Host Lions Club Collects Food, Toys, Glasses at Band Concert

The Pomona Host Lions will be collecting unwrapped children’s toys, food and books at the Pomona Concert Band’s Holiday Concert, titled “Joy to the World” on Saturday, December 15th at 7:30 p.m.  The concert is free.

Santa and his Lions elves will collect the toys, books and food.  The toys will be distributed to the needy through the Pomona Police Department’s Santa Cop program, and the collected food will be given to the hungry by the local Hope Partners food pantry.  The books are for Madison Elementary School in the Pomona Unified School District.  Madison is the Lions’ focus literacy project site.
