Veronica’s Home of Mercy and YouGiveGoods Team Up to Support Hunger Relief

Women’s Shelter Uses New Technology to Run Online Food Drive

The giving group of people at Veronica’s Home of Mercy in San Bernardino, California, a long-term Catholic/Christian residential home committed to providing a safe haven for adult pregnant women and their children as a healthy alternative to abortion, domestic violence, substance abuse and/or homelessness, has paired up with YouGiveGoods this month in recognition of “Make A Difference Day” on October 27, 2012 and in support of the Food Pantry at Veronica’s Home of Mercy.

Veronica’s Home of Mercy strongly believes in their mission of enabling the individual woman to integrate into society and live with a renewed sense of her own worth and dignity. They recognize that many of these women and their children have battled hunger in the past. In response, Veronica’s Home of Mercy plans to raise at least 500 cans of food for their Food Pantry in support of these women and their children.

Anyone can get involved with the cause that Veronica’s Home of Mercy is supporting by clicking here to visit the “500 Cans of Love” Drive Page. Once the drive is over on October 27, 2012, YouGiveGoods will deliver the items to Veronica’s Home of Mercy Food Pantry and supporters will receive an e-mail to let them know when the goods have been delivered.
