Arrests Made After Neighbor Reports Burglary in Progress in Walnut
Suspected burglars were spotted in a backyard by neighbors who called deputies.

A sharp-eyed neighbor helped sheriff’s deputies arrest two suspected of breaking into a Walnut home, authorities said Wednesday.
A resident spotted some suspicions persons in a neighbor’s backyard about 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Mark Saldecke. That neighbor called deputies to the 19800 block of Vista Hermosa Drive.
When the intruders realized they had been spotted, they tried to flee, Saldecke said. One was arrested near the home that was reportedly broken into. The other was caught a short distance away, officials said.
