POMONA, CA - The coroner's office Wednesday was attempting to identify a body discovered in the ashes of an alleyway trash fire in Pomona.

The discovery was made about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, soon after firefighters extinguished an alleyway blaze in the 1200 block of West First Street, according to the Pomona Police Department.
