Like all design projects should , it began with a need to solve. In this case, the strong desire to not track dirt across polished floors after filling the bird feeder. With function assigned, then came style.
Ta-dah! My first stained glass stepping stone. Surfaced with stained glass, Chinese roundels and colored aquarium chips, the mosaic is a hard-surface patchwork sampler. Functional, but eccentric, it meets the needs with panache to spare.
