Capitol Comment for the Week of April 21, 2014

Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) relates a story of what it's like to be a Republican in California in his Capitol Comment for the week of April 21, 2014.

This is the month of April, where hundreds of Senate bills are heard in policy committees control by Democrats. This means many Republican measures are killed on party-line votes and it's one reason why many voters never hear about them.

For the voters who ask "why don't Republicans introduce job friendly measures," Senator Huff says the answer is "they do." But these measures are routinely and quietly voted down in numerous policy committees before voters get a chance to learn about them.

Senator Huff serves as the Senate Republican Leader and represents the 29th Senate District covering portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties. Follow Senator Huff on Twitter @bobhuff99. Visit Senator Huff's website.
