CAPITOL COMMENT: Huff Discusses Democratic Proposals for Taxes
The Senate Republican Leader says that Democrats in the state Assembly and Senate have introduced 63 tax-related bills this session.

Democrats in the state Assembly and Senate have introduced 63 tax-related measures so far, according to Huff, R-Diamond Bar.
The proposed measures include taxes on oil extraction, cars, and business, as well as nearly a dozen constitutional amendments seeking to lower the threshold for legislative approval to 55 percent, he said.

The Senate Republican leader also reports that 4,800 requests have been turned into Legislative Counsel, adding that it is still unknown how many of those will be turned into bills. Gov. Brown called upon the Legislature to introduce fewer bills this year, Huff said.
Huff serves as the Senate Republican Leader and represents the 29th Senate District covering portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties. His district includes Diamond Bar and Walnut. Follow Senator Huff on Twitter @bobhuff99.
