Chaparral Middle School Orchestra in Concert Tonight!
Greg Rochford to conduct final performance after 31 years at school

DIAMOND BAR, CA--Chaparral Middle School orchestras, under the direction of Greg Rochford, will take the stage Friday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.
The 300 Prelude, Philharmonia, and Sinfonia orchestra members will be performing together – and the concert is free!
This will be Rochford’s final concert before retiring later this month after 31 years of service at Chaparral.

Throughout the years, Rochford’s young musicians have been invited to participate in concerts and festivals throughout the state, been named to state honor ensembles, performed at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and Davies Symphony Hall, and consistently received the highest ratings in competitions.
“The highlight of my career has been working with thousands of wonderful kids throughout the years,” Rochford said.

Five of his former students have gone on to become music teachers at the middle school, high school, and university level.
In addition, several are enjoying careers as performing musicians, actors, dancers, and artist managers.
