City Celebrating Enhancements to Sycamore Canyon Park Trail

A dedication ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 5.

Nature lovers, hikers, and all residents of Diamond Bar are invited to attend a special dedication ceremony on May 5 for the .

The free event, which will start at 10 a.m., will celebrate the completion of the fourth phase of a project that created 10 different exercise stations, restored a riparian habitat zone, improved the drainage system, and added benches along the trail.

Attendees will hear remarks from city officials, see the unveiling of a dedication plaque, and learn about the plants and flowers along the trail. There will also be refreshments and giveaways.

According to the city, the project was largely funded by grants from the Federal Recreational Trails Program, the State Resources Agency, and the Rivers & Mountains Conservancy. 

The ceremony will take place at the trailhead at Diamond Bar Boulevard, between Tin Drive and Clear Creek Canyon Drive.
