Deputies: Toddler Hospitalization Suspicious

A toddler was rushed to a Pasadena hospital today after he stopped breathing at a home in La Puente in what authorities described as suspicious circumstances.
Deputies from the sheriff's Industry Station went to the 16900 block of Turk Drive in response to a "baby not breathing" call and, along with Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, found the child unresponsive, according to a statement from the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
The infant was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital, where sheriff"s homicide investigators have been sent to investigate "the suspicious circumstances" surrounding the incident, the statement said.
