Diamond Bar Cancels 'America Recycles Day' Event Due To Expected Rain

DIAMOND BAR, CA — The City of Diamond Bar has canceled its America Recycles Day event scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15, because of expected heavy rain, the city said.

The event had been planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the South Coast Air Quality Management District parking lot at 21865 Copley Drive but was canceled in anticipation of rain from Friday, Nov. 14, through Sunday, Nov. 16, according to the city.

The recycling event was intended to give residents an opportunity to dispose of unwanted confidential documents, textiles and electronic waste.

The city's Environmental Services team also had planned to provide information and answer questions about recycling, conservation and waste diversion.

The city did not say if the event would be rescheduled.
