Diamond Bar City Picnic Areas Reopen

The City will not issue reservations permits, rather the picnic areas will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Diamond Bar, CA, November 16, 2020) – Starting Monday, November 16, outdoor picnic areas will be available for use for small private gatherings following the latest guidance from the Los Angeles County Public Health Department.

The City will not issue reservations permits, rather the picnic areas will be available on a first come, first served basis. In order to use the picnic areas, individuals must not be exhibiting any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing) and must comply with the following safety and courtesy requirements:

  • Private gatherings that include persons from no more than three households that interact regularly.
  • All private gatherings must be held outdoors to reduce the risk of spread of the virus.
  • Private gatherings should be limited to two hours or less in duration.
  • Physical distancing of at least six feet must be maintained from non-household members.
  • Wear a face covering over the nose and mouth at all times, except when eating. This is required for everyone age 2 and older.
  • A face covering must be worn while singing or chanting, including anyone who is leading a song or chant, and everyone must maintain 8-10 feet of physical distance from others.
  • Use of single-serve food containers, rather than shared items, is recommended. If not possible, server must wash or sanitize hands frequently and wear a face covering. Self-serve items from communal containers is not permitted.
  • Use of vendors for entertainment, food, or bounce houses is not permitted.

Additionally, the gathering organizer should collect contact information of all attendees in case contact tracing is needed. Anyone who develops COVID-19 within 48 hours of attending gathering must notify the Department of Public Health at (833)540-0473.
