Diamond Bar Kindergartners To "Carol for Cans" To Help Community Food Bank
The girls are among a group of local girl scouts who are trying to give back this holiday season-- but they need your help to make it all happen.
Giving. It's not just something that adults can do.
One local Girl Scout Daisy troop is making sure that they do what they can to give back this holiday season-- and they're only in the kindergarten and first grades.
Troop Leader Cindy Rubalcava tells Diamond Bar-Walnut Patch that the "daisies" in her troop, Troop #6724, are working hard to help those less fortunate this holiday season, by hosting a canned food drive.

In order to make this event a success, though, Rubalcava says she hopes the community will come out and donate for the girls' cause.
The girls-- who are all only five and six years old-- will go "caroling for cans" this Friday in Diamond Bar, at the award-winning holiday lights home at 450 N. Prospectors, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
"Santa will be out handing out candy canes as cans are dropped off," Rubalcava adds.
There are 11 girls in the Daisy troop, and they're being helped out by some older girls in Junior Troop #9244, Rabalcava tells Patch.

The troops have chosen to help out the Walnut Valley Food Bank through their event.
