New Holiday COVID-19 Home Test Collection Program

Diamond Bar, CA December 7, 2020) For a limited time, the County of Los Angeles along with Fulgent Genetics, Inc., are providing free home COVID-19 test kits by mail for qualified individuals.

The home test collection kits will be available now through January 15, 2021. The pilot program aims to address the current surge in demand for testing and reduce the spread of the virus during the holiday season when people may risk exposure.

Individuals may request kits be mailed to their home if they have COVID-19 symptoms, were recently in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 or is suspected of having it or are a senior or person with disabilities who may not be able to travel to a testing site.

For registration information, visit the Los Angeles County Holiday Home Test website at https://covid19.lacounty.gov/la-county-holiday-home-test-collection/. If qualified, Fulgent Genetics will ship a collection kit within two days. Test must be completed and mailed back the same day and results will be emailed within 48 hours.

Individuals seeking drive- or walk-up location are asked to visit the County COVID-19 testing website at https://covid19.lacounty.gov/testing/ to find the nearest location and to make an appointment. Tests are free of charge but advance registration is required to reduce wait times.
