DiMaggio Rico runs for three touchdowns, and Grant Mestas throws for two scores as the Diamond Bar Brahmas easily dispatch the visiting Duarte Falcons 44-13 Friday night in a week 0 matchup for both teams.
After forcing a three-and-out Duarte, the Brahmas promptly marched down the field, culminating in a 40-yard field goal by Anthony Valdez.
The Falcons then broke onto the scoreboard with a bang, when Devon Hemsley found Justin Hillyer down the left sideline 75 yards for the score. To take the brief 6-3 lead.

Rico then went to work, scoring on runs of 64 yards and seven yards on consecutive drives.
Mestas then found Calvin Chang on a 38-yard scoring pass, then ran the ball in himself from three yards out. He later found Shane Wells for a 15-yard scoring pass to put the game away.

Hemsley once again found Hillyer down the middle for another 75-yard scoring pass, but the game has long been determined.
Diamond Bar (1-0) travels to Walnut (0-1) for the annual Branding Iron game next Friday. Kickoff is at 7pm.
