The Government Financial Officers Association has awarded the city of Diamond Bar with another Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
This is the 18th-consecutive award for Diamond Bar. The award was earned by the finance staff for producing a very organized, efficient, easy-to-read Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012, officials said.
The CAFR is a supplement to the city's annual budget, officials said, and is produced at the end of every fiscal year.
The document contains items, such as an independent auditor's report, analysis of the city's governmental funds and trend schedule outlining financial health over time.
The Government Financial Officers Association is a non-profit association that serves 17,000 government finance professionals.
A hard copy of the CAFR is available for viewing at City Hall, 21810 Copley Drive. To view a PDF version online, click here.
