A Diamond Bar Woman, Grieving for her Cousin, Found Solace in This
Diamond Bar resident Michelle Santos shared this photo--taken at Diamond Bar High School--when nighttime sorrow turned to sunrise peace.

DIAMOND BAR, CA—Our Patch.com Photo of the Week comes from Michelle Santos of Diamond Bar. This photograph of sunrise captured a moment in her life when she was grieving over the loss of her cousin from the day before. She found inspiration in the overpowering hues of orange, purple, and bright blue a Diamond Bar sunrise earlier this year.
That photo, taken the morning after her cousin Stacy Gibbons--a teacher at Butterfield ranch Elementary School--lost her battle with cancer.
"I was in another world that morning, on the drive to take my son to school," she said. "I just thought, 'I miss you, Stacy.'"
