Since its current building opened in 1977, a tile mosaic mural has graced the entrance to the Diamond Bar Library. A project to remove, restore, and remount this historical mural in the Friends of the Library Reading Garden at the new Diamond Bar Library is already underway. On Saturday, February 11 at 2 PM meet conservator Amy Green, who will be restoring the mural while its space at the new library is made ready. Ms. Green will talk about what she does as an art conservator and share some other projects she has completed. Frank Matranga, the artist who created the mural, will join her as a special guest. Please join us for this special event and learn about this work of civic art that has been part of Diamond Bar for more than 35 years.
