False Report of Gun Prompts Diamond Ranch High Search

Authorities came up empty after conducting a search of campus.

Reports of a gun at Diamond Ranch High School today turned out to be a false alarm.

The Pomona Unified School District put out a statement regarding concerns about a search of the Diamond Bar campus.

"Regarding the stories circulating about Diamond Ranch High School: The investigation at Diamond Ranch this morning was due to a report of a firearm on campus," PUSD spokesman Ryan Hightower said in a statement.  "After a search of the campus, no firearm was found."

This incident was unrelated to an arrest made Friday of a 15-year-old student who allegedly brought an unloaded gun to campus, officials said.
