Los Angeles County Fire crews quickly put out a small fire that scorched an outdoor storage room on Thursday.

Los Angeles County Fire crews quickly put out a small fire that scorched an outdoor storage room on Thursday before it could spread to nearby apartments.
The blaze was reported at 2:53 p.m. at an apartment in the 1400 Jellick Avenue in Rowland Heights, according to LA County Fire officials. When crews arrived they found light smoke coming from the closet-type storage room that was on the second floor.
Fortunately the outbuilding was not connected to the rest of the apartment therefore not damage was caused to the rest of the nearby apartment and the fire was knocked out within minutes, officials said.

The cause of small blaze is still under investigation, officials said.
