Brush Fire Near 57 Freeway Quickly Doused [UPDATE]

The right two lanes on the southbound 57 Freeway were closed in the area as a precaution, according to the California Highway Patrol.

SAN DIMAS, CA Firefighters on Friday made quick work of a 2.4-acre brush fire near the southbound Orange (57) Freeway in San Dimas.

The fire was reported near Via Verde at about 1:15 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported, with the flames completely contained shortly before 3 p.m. No structures were threatened.
