Five Things: Library Events, Knabe on Sex Trafficking, and an 80s Band

A list of events and some stories in the news Diamond Bar and Walnut Patch readers should know about.

Listed here are five things that Diamond Bar and Walnut residents need to know today.

1. The Walnut Public Library is hosting End of the Summer Reading Program party from 2 to 3 p.m. The library is located at 21155 La Puente Road. For more information, call 909-595-0757 or visit the library's website.

2. Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe, whose district includes Diamond Bar and Rowland Heights,  weighed in on national raids that netted 150 arrests for suspected child sex trafficking, including some in Southern California.

3. The Diamond Bar Public Library will host Baby and Toddler Storytime today from 4 to 5 p.m. The library is located at 21800 Copley Drive. For more information about the event, call 909-861-4978 or visit the library's website.

4. Walnut's After the Dark in the Park concert and movie series continues tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Creekside Park, 720 Creekside Drive.  The featured band is Centerfold (Top 80s), movie "E.T."
