Ganesha High to Inaugurate Renovated Stadium With First Home Varsity Football Game

Ganesha High School will inaugurate its newly renovated Nancy J. McCracken Stadium on Friday, Sept. 4.

Ganesha High School will inaugurate its newly renovated Nancy J. McCracken Stadium with its first home varsity football game of the 2015-16 season on Friday, Sept. 4. The athletic facility – to be used by the school’s football, soccer, and track and field teams – features a new synthetic turf, all-weather track and scoreboard.

The ribbon-cutting will begin prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff. The dedication ceremony will be held at halftime and feature performances from the band, cheerleaders and Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC).

Funded through the District’s Measure PS facilities bond, Ganesha began renovations to its field in April. Ganesha previously shared its stadium with Pomona Unified’s three other high schools before the site was designated as Ganesha’s official home field in August 2014.
