HOLIDAY CRAFT and BAKE SALE - CONKERR CANCER LA
NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION that gathers fabric to make and donate pillowcases to 6 hospitals and 3 Ronald McDonald house for sick kids in LA
HOLIDAY CRAFT AND BAKE SALE for non profit organization -- CONKERR CANCER LOS ANGELES AT COVINA HILLS MOBILE HOME PARK -- 17350 E TEMPLE AVE LOWER CLUBHOUSE LA PUENTE, CA 91744 FROM 10 AM TO 4PM ON NOVEMBER 23, 2014. TELL THE GUARD AT THE GUARD SHACK YOU ARE HERE FOR THE SALE AND THEY WILL SHOW YOU WERE TO PARK. We are selling gift items and crafts made by our volunteers to support purchasing more fabric and supplies to make pillowcases for children in local hospitals fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. We work with 6 local hospitals and 3 Ronald McDonald Houses in Los Angeles County. Please come by and purchase some items to help our cause --- bring your friends, relatives and co-workers. We need your support. In the past 3 1/2 years we have delivered over 13000 pillowcases to these hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses (and a couple homeless shelters/women’s shelters). Most of what we do is for kids and so the material or fabric we need is 100% cotton or flannel in fun, bright colored and/or popular prints. Right now Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Disney Princesses, Super Heroes (of any kind), Frozen items are requested by young kids. Sports themes, Military, Guitars, Rock Stars are all popular with the older boys while older girls are interested in fashion, makeup, sports and music, peace signs, etc.
We always need donations of 100% cotton fabric or Flannel Fabrics to make pillowcases. We also have lots of sewing events you can help sew or learn how to sew a pillowcase....for more info please check out our website at www.conkerrcancerla.org. FABRIC DONATIONS will be accepted at this event. REMEMBER just 3 yards of fabric will make 4 pillowcases!
