I-10 Lane Closures Planned and Diamond Bar Council Race Takes Shape

Here are five things Diamond Bar and Walnut residents need to know today.

1. Caltrans is planning some partial lane closures on Interstate 10 for a $165 million high occupancy vehicle lane project. Check out the story on Diamond Bar-Walnut Patch for information about the schedule.

2. The city of Diamond Bar is accepting applications for a vacancy on the Planning Commission. Visit the city's website for more information on how you can apply.

4. Six candidates filed papers to run for the three Diamond Bar City Council seats up for election this November. The nomination period ended Friday at 4:30 p.m. For more of the story, click here.

5. Mt. San Antonio College is offering a free Child Care Food Program for all of the children who attend the center. This is the 19th consecutive year the campus has offered the federally funded program, which provides breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, to around 200 children from birth through age 5 free of charge, according to a news release.
