La Habra Aunt Charged In Shooting Murder Of Her Niece, OCDA Says
A La Habra woman is accused of pulling a firearm out of her purse and firing 10 rounds at her niece, a Claremont resident, OCDA said.

LA HABRA, CA — The aunt of a Claremont woman was charged Thursday in the shooting-murder of her niece.
Claremont resident Jennifer Lee was shot outside of a home in Brea by her Aunt, Eunsoo Bae of La Habra, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
"Bae is charged with one felony count of murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a firearm," OCDA Spokesperson Susan Kang Schroeder said. "If convicted, Bae faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in state prison."

Bae is currently being held on $1 million bail and is scheduled for a continued arraignment on January 27.
"On Tuesday at approximately 4:45 p.m., Bae and several family members were in front of a house in Brea preparing to leave for dinner," Kang Schroeder said.

The defendant is accused of pulling a firearm out of her purse and firing 10 rounds at her niece, 40-year-old Jennifer Lee.
Family members subdued Bae and called 911.
Lee was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead as the result of multiple bullet wounds according to Kang Schroeder.
"Bae was arrested at the home by the Brea Police Department, who investigated this case," she said. "Senior Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Walker of the Homicide Unit is prosecuting this case."
