It was 1954 when a 29-year-old Holbrook began portraying the 70-year-old Twain in a make-up process that took around four hours to create. While maintaining an active television and film career, the five-time Emmy Award-winning actor’s solo show, Mark Twain Tonight!, has continued to grow with him amid nearly 100 stage plays in New York and regional theatres around the country. Holbrook has been known to say, “I’ve been on the road most of my life.”

Hailed as one of the treasures of American theatre by Life Magazine, Mark Twain Tonight! continues to captivate audiences nationwide.
