Man Charged With Killing His Wife's Parents
Caminero Wang was jailed without bail while awaiting arraignment May 5 on two counts of murder stemming from the killings of his in-laws.

POMONA, CA - A West Covina man was charged today with capital murder in connection with the shooting deaths of his wife's parents, who had traveled from China to visit their daughter and grandchildren.
Caminero Wang, 43, was jailed without bail while awaiting arraignment May 5 in a Pomona courtroom on two counts of murder stemming from the killings of Aiping Diao and Shu Zhang, who were both 60, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
The murder charges include the special circumstance allegation of multiple murders, along with an allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a handgun. Prosecutors will decide later whether to seek the death penalty against Wang.

Officers went to the family's condominium in the 1300 block of East Oahu Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on a report of several gunshots "and the sounds of children screaming," West Covina police Officer Rudy Lopez said.
Officers encountered the suspect, who surrendered without further incident, and found the victims dead of gunshot wounds and three youngsters -- ages 3, 6, and 8 -- hiding in a bathroom, he said.

Diao and his wife had been visiting their daughter and his family, Lopez said.
