Man Struck, Killed By Freight Train In San Gabriel Valley
Officers sent to the tracks west of Humane Way and south of Pomona Boulevard about 3:40 a.m. found the man dead.

POMONA, CA -- A man was struck and killed Wednesday by a Union Pacific freight train in Pomona, police said. Officers sent to the tracks west of Humane Way and south of Pomona Boulevard about 3:40 a.m. found the man dead, according to the Pomona Police Department.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured man.
Metrolink's Riverside Line 401 train to Los Angeles was canceled at the downtown Pomona Station, and buses were being made available to accommodate rail passengers.
