Man's Body Found Off Brea Canyon Road & 57 Freeway
A body was discovered off the Brea Canyon Road at Southbound 57 Freeway, Monday. CHP closed Brea Canyon Road to investigate.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — The body of an unidentified pedestrian was discovered early Monday, authorities said. The man's body was discovered by drivers at Brea Canyon Road, near the southbound Orange (57) Freeway.
Officials were investigating to determine if he died from a crash, authorities said. A white SUV was also found near the scene, however it was unclear how the vehicle and the victim were related, CHP Officer Peter Nicholson said.
The initial report was that a southbound vehicle may have struck the center divider of the freeway, slid down an embankment and flipped several times, however it is unclear if the man's death was related as of this report.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of the 57 freeway were closed temporarily, and Brea Canyon Road to Tonner Canyon was shut down south of Diamond Bar Boulevard Monday morning during the investigation.
All lanes were reopened before 8 a.m.
